It's not about me...

Doesn’t everyone know and use personality profiling already? Why create another book on it? I’ve had these questions before, and I understand the thought process. Aren’t they all basically the same?

Well, yes and no. Most of them are a little complicated in that you understand yourself and a few other people when you first take the test or go through the program. However, I find that the information is too complicated to easily remember so you don’t use it consistently.

Without the unique way I’ve developed of identifying personalities, I would not be where I am today! Let me share a little example with you.

I went camping with a friend who had just purchased a used pop-up camper/trailer. The kind you pull with your truck, and it folds down onto itself. We took it up on Mt. Hood for the weekend to check it out and get away. Being Mt. Hood, the weather was iffy, meaning nice for a little fit and then raining the next. We had just gotten it parked after some struggle to fit into a space. As we started to unfold and push up the supports, it started raining…a lot! We got one side mostly up and as my friend was struggling with the other side, I had stepped back a little and took another look at the set up. I seemed to me that if we did it a little differently it might go easier. (you know, the normal “there’s got to be an easier way” thought).

I said, “I think if we ….” And the immediate answer I got was “shut up”.

Now you might be thinking, how rude, or that was mean. But I just said to myself “oh that’s right, I’m working with a Heron”.

You see, every flock processes information differently. Herons are good at focusing, details, working alone, and analytical thinking. I had just train wrecked the thinking process. It wasn’t about me; it was about how the process was going. Without understanding the difference, I would have taken it personally that I did something terribly wrong. Not so, I would bet to this day that they don’t even remember saying it.

When you understand how people think, talk and act, you are better equipped to communicate clearly. Clear communication allows you to let go of things that are not about you, find your boundaries, bring out the best in others, and achieve your personal and business goals much easier.

The new “Are You My Flock” book gives you the tools you need to understand others easily and effectively. By using birds, it’s relatable, memorable, and usable for everyday life.

Be sure to get your copy on Amazon and tell your friends. The best gift you can give someone is your time and support. Support them in being their best by helping them understand how to communicate with you and others. It’s life changing.

I appreciate your support. Without a tribe of amazing people who want to grow, be happy and successful, I would not be here.

Thank you so much!!

Love, BJ

PS: Look for the Are You My Flock book on Amazon December 16th.
